Standardized Age Categories for Texas 4-H & Youth Development for all projects, events, and contests:

Junior: 8 and in the 3rd grade, 9 and 10 as of August 31
Intermediate: 11, 12, 13 as of August 31
Senior: 14-18 as of August 31

Foster open communication between youth professionals, volunteers, and the people we serve

Implement district activities that enhance the local 4-H program

Provide educational opportunities which enrich the lives of Texans
